Marion Cotillard

Marion Cotillard (; born 30 September 1975) is a French actress who has appeared in both European and Hollywood productions. She is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two César Awards, and a Golden Globe Award. She became a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2010 and was promoted to Officer in 2016, the same year she was named a Knight of the Legion of Honour.

Cotillard began her career at the age of seven. She had her first English-language role in the action series ''Highlander'' (1993) at the age of seventeen, and made her feature film debut in ''The Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Be Kissed'' (1994). Her breakthrough came in the French film ''Taxi'' (1998), and she won the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for ''A Very Long Engagement'' (2004). She had her first major English-language role in ''A Good Year'' (2006) and won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of French singer Édith Piaf in (2007), becoming the only actor to win an Academy Award for a French-language performance.
